A PRAYER FOR FATHER’S DAY
We give our thanks, Creator God, for the fathers in our lives. We ask for your blessings for them all. This Father's Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families and the ways both big and small they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach. So too we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent - grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, priests and coaches - and the women of our families. For those of us who are fathers, we ask for wisdom and humility in the face of the task of parenting. Give us the strength to do well by our children and by you. In your Holy name, O God, we pray.
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I would like to wish all the dads and pops a wonderful Father’s Day with your families on Sunday week. To help acknowledge and thank the dads, our P & F are holding a special Father’s Day Breakfast next Friday 2 September from 7.00am and it would be great to see lots of dads, pops or significant adults join their children for a delicious hot breakfast. This event will be followed later that morning with the Annual Father’s Day Stall.

A big thank you to the following families who were represented at Friday’s Working Bee: Thompson (Year 6), Gutierrez, Thompson (Year 1), De Hosson, Johnsen (Schuback), Atley, Roche, Randall, Creighton, Nowakowski, Bricevski, Grogan, Lindsay. The library looks amazing!

Stella Maris’ Feast Day - The Assumption 15 August
On Monday the 15 August, we celebrated our feast day, ‘The Assumption’. The students began the day with a beautiful Mass at All Saints with our sister school Nazareth. The choir filled the Church with their wonderful Mary hymns. During Recess, the students enjoyed an ice block with their friends and continued the festivities in the classroom learning about the different Mary’s in our lives. For lunch, the whole school and parents and friends made their way to the oval for a picnic lunch and some healthy “Gold versus Blue” games. It was a lovely way to spend our feast day. Thank you to all the teachers and parents and carers who helped make our day memorable for the children.

God Bless You
