Dear Parents and Carers,
I wanted to share the joy it has been to welcome our new Kindergarten students to our school over the last couple of weeks. We have begun the transition to school playgroup sessions and next week we will conclude with the formal orientation.
It is such a reminder of the joy, excitement, enthusiasm and sometimes nervousness when we see their faces. It has been an absolute delight to watch the children interact with each other and get to know each other. All of the gorgeous personalities are shining through.
The transition to school playgroup sessions are also a fantastic way for families to get to know each other, the Kindergarten teachers and the school for our new families. I look forward to this time each year, knowing that the bright faces in front of me are joining our special community here at Stella Maris.

Socktober World Mission Month Fundraiser
Thank you to our wonderful Stella Maris community and friends. We were able to raise $1,321 for World Mission Month. The students have learned all about the children in Timour, and participated enthusiastically in the school Socktober shootout with the sockballs they made throughout the Challenge.
The fundraising page will close shortly, so if you haven’t had the opportunity to donate please head to https://www.socktober.org.au/fundraisers/stellamariscatholicprimaryschool
Thank you once again for supporting those in need during Socktober!

Remembrance Day 11 November 11am
Remembrance Day is a nationally recognised day of commemoration held each year on the 11 November, when we pause for one minute of silence at 11am to remember in faith, the service and sacrifice of all who gave their lives in wars, conflicts and peace operations, and those who continue serving in our armed forces. We also pray for healing and peace; that one day, all people will lay down their arms and embrace one another as brothers and sisters in one human family.
In unity, on Friday 10 November at 2:30 pm, Stella Maris will join together in prayer under the COLA and listen to the Last Post. This will be followed by a minute's silence, the Rouse and our National Anthem. Dismissal will occur following this.
All Saints Day
